About that Zwanze… It was a bit good wasn’t it?

The dust has settled on the empty keg of the rarest beer in all of the land – Cantillon Framboise. It’s been less than two weeks and we’re already missing it so much that nothing can satisfy our taste buds quite like that Belgian beauty.

The brewers stepped back in time 30 years for Zwanze 2016, which was the result of a blend of 82% raspberries, 18% blueberries, and .05% Bourbon Vanilla beans, on which they aged two-year-old Lambic at a rate of 300g fruit per liter. Yeah, we know right?! Sounds delicious, and it WAS INDEED THAT! And that is why we can’t get that delicious taste out of our mouth!

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that bought a ticket, to everyone that stood queuing up with anticipation and to those of you who continue to support Zwanze in all of it’s glory. We really are SO proud to be chosen continuously to host the day, and we hope we continue to be for many, many years to come.

If you didn’t manage to grab a 1/3 of the Framboise, did you at least get your hands on a Kriek, Cuvee St. Gilloise or Fou Foune? They were all proper ace too, and went down a storm alongside the excitement! It’s so great to see beer lovers unite, and continue to unite for this wonderful event!

We also hope you all enjoyed the exclusive Zwanze exhibition. Leeds designers and illustrators put their own spin on their designs which turned out amazingly, so big thanks to Awesome Merchandise for getting on board and printing them up for us. Big love to you guys.

If you couldn’t make it to the event but still want a peek at the art, here you go! If you’re interested in purchasing any of them please email info@northbar.com and we’ll hook you up with the relevant artist! Pretty cool, huh?
