We love Beer!! Since opening in 1997, North has had over 1000 different beers on draught and over 100000 various bottled beers, making it one of the leading beer bars in Britain!

Nothing brewed under licence, everything direct from the country of origin. Whilst we’re committed to finding the best beer from around the world for you to enjoy, we also love beer from a little closer to home. You’ll always find our house beer Rooster’s, all the way from Knaresborough, on tap, plus another guest bitter and a beautiful warming stout.

North bar stocks up to 150 beers at any one time, we couldn't possibly update you every time we get a new one in - for that you might want to follow us on twitter but here's a selection of permanant and seasonal beers!

Matt's top five of Oktoberfest

1. Hacker Pschorr Marzen (draught): Ace, ace ace! Brilliantly balanced classy marzen. Just off dry, nutty and gluggably good.
2. Weihenstephan Festbeir (draught): Golden marzen, extremely smooth with a long walnut finish.
3. Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock: Superb doppel bock, caramel/dark fruits/toffee/chocolate super deep super amazing! One of my top 10 of all time!
4. St Georgenbrau Annafest: This is a maibock which is a style that for some reason doesn't get over to the UK that much. Good hop prescence paired with caramel maltiness.
5. Berliner Kidlweisse: All the fun of the fair! The addition of lactobacillus during brewing give this lovely bright wheat beer a big zingy edge. Softened with raspberry or woodruff syrup this beer lasted all of 2 days before we sold the lot.
