Lowlands Bierfest at North Bar 28.3.14 – 11.4.14

It’s time for the third annual Lowlands Bierfest (or the umpteenth including Belgian beers), celebrating amazing brews from our friends in Belgium and the Netherlands! In true North Bar Festival style, we will be taking over the bar with all things Lowlandy – everything from the classic beers of De Dolle, De Molen and Struisse and the stalwart Trappist breweries, to new and exciting brews from the likes of Kaapse and Rooie Dop. Expect never-seen-before draft from De Prael and Jopen, plus some real rare gems, even Westvleteren!

Beers aside, we’ll also be propping up a Jenever bar – tradtional, flavoured gins which are delicious as a short, or even better in one of our Jenever cocktails! And of course, it wouldn’t be a festival without sampling a few culinary delights from the region so we’ll have everything from local cheeses, home-made waffles with espresso-chocolate sauce and even a pop-up steak-frites night during the festival.

Lowlands will kick off at North Bar on the 28th March for two whole weeks of beery joy! The party continues at Further North (Chapel Allerton), Alfred (Meanwood), Preston (Oakwood) and North Bar Social (Otley) from the 4th-18th March. Expect silly hats and Poirot-esque moustaches. Prost!
