NEW ART!!! North, meet SCIENCE!

Crystals have inspired people for hundreds of years, owing to their stimulation of all senses, imagination and emotion. While the word itself inspires the image of large, tactile monoliths; the majority of scientifically and technologically interesting crystals have sizes too small to be seen by the naked eye. Using optical and electron microscopy, we can explore an invisible world, revealing the details, intricacies and beauty of these crystals. From chemicals to minerals, we present a selection of stunning shapes and symmetries which exhibit an elegance otherwise overlooked.

Our Winter exhibition in Collaboration with the School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds runs until the 24th of January.
